Crosswalk 2011-2012
Crosswalk will resume on Wednesday, January 25, 2012!
The Crosswalk Program at Jacksonville First United Methodist Church has been designed to provide children ages Pre- K (4 years old) through 6th grade in the church and community a safe place to come on Wednesday afternoons after school to grow in their walk with God. The children in the Crosswalk Program are divided into four groups that rotate to three different stations during the afternoon. The three stations include Devotional, Psalm 150, and an Activity Station.

*Devotional Time This year we will continue to use the curriculum called The Kitchen. This is a very high energy curriculum and will allow the children to experience God's Word through various activities, object lessons, videos, and discussions. This curriculum also comes with an additional component called "The Kitchen Table." This pamphlet will be sent home each week with the children and will provide you, the parent, an outline of that week's Bible Story along with activities and talking points you can do as a family...around the kitchen table.
*Activity Time Each week there will be a different activity time to Bible story or current holiday. Some of the activities your
child will be participating in are: arts and crafts, cooking experiences, related movies, science experiments, games, and service/ mission projects.
*Psalm 150 Each week the children will rotate to Psalm 150 where they will learn songs that correlate to the Bible lessons of th week or an upcoming holiday. In Psalm 150 the children will learn to praise God through praise and worship style music.
