Children's Market - Consignor Information

Visit your consignor homepage to work with your inventory, schedule your drop-off appointment, volunteer, check your sales, etc.  This is also where you can check your sales during Children's Market.  Do you want to mark the direct link in your favorites?  Add this website to your computer's bookmarks:  www.mysalemanager.net/hom_start.aspx?partnercode=CMKT

Preparing your items (Everyone needs to read this information before you start tagging your inventory.)

How would like to receive 100% of the selling price from all your items sold?  Sign up to work for at least two 3-hour shifts and your name will be entered into the drawing automatically.  Volunteer for at least two 3-hour shifts and you will be eligible to enter a drawing to receive 100% of the selling price from all items sold during Children's Market in September.  The winner's name will be drawn after the sale concludes on Saturday, Sept. 18.  Winner will be notified by email on Sunday, Sept. 19.)  Selecting your shifts is very easy.  You can do it from your consignor home page.  You must work your selected shifts to be eligible for the drawing.  Anyone who does not show up for their volunteer shift will not be included in the drawing and will not be allowed to volunteer for future sales.

Volunteers

Volunteer with us:

Read the details about volunteering.
Check out our worker schedule.

Register as a volunteer. (If you aren't a Children's Market consignor.  Consignors can sign up for work shifts through your consignor homepage.)

Jacksonville FUMC uses My Sale Manager to improve our data entry, accounting, and check-out system. Consignors can easily enter your information for your tags online at home, which will save you a lot of time. (No software is required other than internet access.) Just visit the Consignor Account Homepage.  Log in, select Work with Consigned Inventory, and start entering your items.  The system will automatically create an inventory sheet for all of your items. Your tags will be created from the information you enter.

In addition, your consignor account will automatically be updated each evening during the sale.  This process will allow you to track your sales and see how you're doing as the sale happens. We are so excited about bar-coding and know that you will love this process, too. The online bar-coding system offers ease of use, plus a way for you to track your sales, donations, and unsold inventory.

All items MUST be input into MySaleManager.NET by 8:00 am on Sunday, Sept. 13.  You will not be able to make any changes to your inventory or volunteer shifts after this time.

Consignors must pick up all unsold items between 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm on Saturday, Sept. 18.  Any items remaining after 2:30 will be donated to charity or sold in our $1.00 sale.  If you cannot pick up at this time, please make arrangements for someone to pick up your items for you.  You have the option to pick items up after 3 pm on Friday or beginning at 8 am on Saturday, but you will have to pull them from the sales floor.  We will not be responsible for items left if you pick up early.

Tag Printing Tuesdays - We're encouraging everyone to save your ink by having your tags printed at the church.
Do you want your tags mailed to you instead?  Postage for 250 tags is $2.56, which is the most any one consignor would pay.  We can add the postage for mailing your tags to your consignor fee.  During the month of September, tags can be printed anytime during the week and will be ready the next morning.  Email us at jfumc_consign@bellsouth.net with your consignor number to have your tags printed.

Want to save time and money on safety pins?  Tagging Gun Kits are available from our church for $10.00, which includes one tagging gun, six needles, and 1000 barbs.

Why do we use colored cardstock for non-donated items?  A few seasons ago, we were amazed by the great items brought in by our consignors.  It became harder to divide everything into donated and pick-up items after the sale.  To make pick up easier for our consignors, we changed our cardstock system.  All donated items must be on white cardstock.  If an item is tagged with a white tag, it will be included in the $1.00 Sale or donated to a local charity if it does not sell by Saturday afternoon (even if it doesn't say donate on the tag).  Items that you are picking up need to be tagged with colored cardstock.  The colors will be determined by consignor numbers and our supply of cardstock.  Since we're printing tags, you don't have to keep up with remembering your color ahead of time.)  Cardstock colors are:  lime green, mint green, light orange/peach, light yellow, and light blue.  If you are printing your own tags, please use ONE of these colors for your non-donation tags.

Consignor Profits - Consignors receive 75% of their sales minus our consignor fee, with the other percentage supporting the children and youth ministries of the church and community organizations.

How to earn more $$$ - Volunteers who work at least 12 hours, including 3 hours of sorting on Saturday, earn 85%. 12-hour volunteer slots are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Consignor Fees - An $8 fee will be deducted from your profit check to offset advertising costs, postage, and printing expenses.

Our Barcode System - Children's Market uses a point of sale system that allows you to enter your items on any computer with internet access. Each item's tag will print out with a barcode--an efficient way to sell your items that also allows you the ability to check your sales online each evening!

Supply Location - Any available hangers, safety pins, extra cardstock, sale flyers, yard signs, and any other supplies available for consignors are organized in a room at the church. Please ask at the church office for directions to the room.  This is also the location where volunteers can pick up yard signs or other items to complete their tasks.

General Logistics - Consignor registration will end when consignor spaces are full or at 8 am on Friday, Sept. 3, whichever comes first. If consignor spaces fill before Sept. 3, you may sign up for our waiting list and be added if a space becomes available.

Our consignor list fills up 6 to 8 weeks before our sale begins.  We are no longer accepting consignors, but if you're interested in shopping early, you can volunteer with us.  Helping for just three hours will give you the chance to shop during our preview sale on Tuesday, Sept. 14th.  Check out our Volunteer Section for all of the details on shopping early!
